When will I learn to say 'no'?

    Greetings and well met friends,

Today I type from a hotel I stayed in almost a year ago. I was asked to be a delegate to the SE Iowa Synod of the ELCA annual assembly. Since I didn't say no, here I am. turns out that the hotel we're staying is the same one I stayed in for a night during last year's Iowa Ren Faire at Amana. At least this time, I'm not fighting a "wanting-to-die" car.

The biggest slap in the face, thus far, is this is becoming the best weekend for weather we've had thus far; sunny and upper 70's. I'm going to be stuck inside all day tomorrow when I would much rather be out on the street with my motorocycle....*mental note: get bike picts*. In any case, it kinda bothers me that there's (what I believe it to be) so much wasted time in this agenda. Do we really need to break up the actual work with bible studies and such. I know this is a church thing, but c'mon!! We started the thing with a worship service!! Enough's enough!! At least supper included some damn good 3-layer chocolate cake... We'll see what tomorrow brings. Be well.

Is wasted time not what those meetings usually consist of? I know that when we have our huge Methodist meetings on the ISU campus that is usually what they consist of.
